about miss flannery,

Gabrielle received her bachelor’s degree in vocal performance from Lee University and her master’s degree in vocal performance from University of Northern Iowa. Flannery is currently an Artist-In-Residence with Dayton Opera. She has performed with Dayton Opera, University of Northern Iowa Opera Theatre, Bay View Music Festival, Lee University’s Opera Theatre, and Chicago Summer Opera.

Flannery received Lee University’s Outstanding vocalist graduate award and was awarded as a finalist in the Lee University concerto competition (2019). Flannery was awarded second place in the Cleveland Tennessee Orchestra Competition (2019) and is a 2019 NATS national musical theatre finalist.

Flannery is currently an Artist-In-Residence with Dayton Opera performing as soloist for Dayton Philharmonic Youth Orchestra: On Broadway!, soprano soloist with the children’s outreach program, and soloist for community recitals. She is currently working to complete her masters at the University of Northern Iowa.

Recent full production credits include Lucy in Dracula: Bloodlines, soloist and ensemble in Sweeney Todd with Dayton Opera, the title role in Suor Angelica and Nella in Gianni Schicchi and a soloist with the American Spiritual Intensive with the Bay View Music Festival. Last spring, Flannery performed the role of Abby in the world premier of The Beehive (Sosa/Tien) with UNI Opera. Last summer, Flannery performed with the Bay View Music Festival as Musetta in La bohème, as well as Sister Sophia in The Sound of Music.
